Supriya Bhardwaj, Kamaljit Kaur Sandhu: A one-line resolution was passed at the Congress legislature party meeting, according to sources, stating that the party high command will select the next chief minister of Himachal Pradesh. Sources told India Today that the Himachal Pradesh Congress legislature party, which met on Friday, has decided that the party high command will choose the next state chief minister.
Sources claim that the legislature party meeting in Shimla resulted in the adoption of a one-sentence resolution stating that the Congress high command will select the next chief minister.
Among the leading candidates for the position are State Congress chief Pratibha Singh, former party chief Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, and incoming legislature party leader Mukesh Agnihotri.
Pratibha Singh, the wife of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, is vying for the top position at the time of the meeting. Her allies additionally attempted to stop the vehicles of onlookers, including that of Chhattisgarh Boss Clergyman Bhupesh Baghel, and sloganeered requesting Singh be made the following boss pastor.
Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, on the other hand, stated later that day that he was “not a CM candidate.” I am an MLA and a disciplined soldier who works for the Congress party. “The decision of the party high command will be final,” he was quoted as saying by ANI.
Congress observers Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, and Bhupinder Singh Hooda, former Haryana Chief Minister, as well as Congress in-charge for Himachal Pradesh Rajeev Shukla, met with the Governor earlier today and presented a list of the party’s winning candidates.
After the meeting with the Governor, the Congress observers and Rajeev Shukla also had a private meeting with Pratibha Singh.
